We are a 24/7 Jazz station that plays old school jazz from the 60's to the 2000's as well as the hottest tunes from new and current Jazz releases. Jazz Jambalaya has been in existence for 11 years serving the Dallas-Ft. Worth community, while bringing a unique format of Jazz music to the radio listening audience.

Jazz Jambalaya started broadcasting on February 4th, 2012 as a 2-hour weekly program, airing every Saturday on the Fishbowl Radio Network. The very 1st song played on Jazz Jambalaya was Alphonse Mouzon - 'I'm Glad That You're Here'. Since then, we've played a variety of music within the Jazz genre. Focusing on Soul-Jazz of the 60's, Jazz Fusion from the 70's and 80's, Contemporary, Electronic and Acid Jazz from the 90's 00's. We are also devoted to New Jazz Releases in an effort to keep listeners and devoted Jazz fans with in touch with the very latest in Jazz music.
Jazz Jambalaya has been (and still is) devoted to serving the Dallas-Ft. Worth Community. In 2012, we assisted residents of Lancaster, TX., DeSoto, TX., and Mesquite, TX., who lost their homes during the October tornado, providng water, toiletries, can goods, and necessities to those who had been displaced.
In June 2012, we hosted our first remote broadcast from the 1st Annual DeSoto Sol-Jazz Festival which featured Rachelle Ferrell, Pieces of a Dream, Cameo, MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh.
In 2014, we started assisting with fundraisers for the non-profit organization 'Turner12' (http://turner12.org) founded by John Carter, which helps underserved students in the southern sector of Dallas, TX become college graduates and productive citizens. We are honored and proud to continue to serving the Turner12 organization in this endeavor to this day.
In 2015, we began our Jazz Jambalaya Backyard Interview series, spotlighting musicians, Playwriters, and Filmmakers based in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The artists we have hosted and supported include: Vocalist K.Avett, Saxophonist Quamon Fowler, and many more.
Our mission is to help expand the Jazz listening audience worldwide, while helping serve the needs of the community.
